Senior Downsize Transition Tips
~When possible, create a timeline for the transition, whether it is 1 year, 6 months or 3 months. This helps ease the feeling of overwhelm for the senior.
~Establish a single point of contact to coordinate all aspects of the transition to eliminate stress for the entire family.
~Have the senior select some of their favorite treasured belongings (such as small collectibles, knick knacks or artwork) to set up in their new space.
~On moving day, schedule an event filled day for the senior with their favorite things to do – away from the chaos of the day.
~Set up the new space with their selected furnishings before their arrival on moving day so they can immediately feel more at home.

"Rightsizing" was the topic we presented to a great audience of prospective residents at St. Andrew's Village in Aurora, CO. Along with a realtor and a moving company, we explained the process of "rightsizing" and how attendees can start preparing for any upcoming move.

We presented "Downsize Staging" for attendees at the Downsizing Event at St. Andrew's Village in Aurora, CO. Here we defined staging, explained the benefits of staging and provided basic staging tips to prospective residents of the community.

We participated in the Ultimate Chef America event at Heritage Club Mountain View (Brookdale Senior Living) in Denver, CO. We were gold level sponsors for the event and staged the VIP room (for Leeza Gibbons and Jeremy Bloom), redesigned both models for the community, and had a vendor booth as well.
